Conflict in Palestine

Palestinians are Arab people who come from Palestine. In World War Two, millions of Jews living in Europe were killed by the German Nazis. After the war the Jews that survived went to live in their 'promised land', Palestine. This meant the Palestinians lost their land. Palestine is now called Israel.

Palestinians want to rule themselves in their own country. But Israel does not want to give up their land. The conflict still continues.

Palestinian children live under house arrest. Their neighbourhoods are shelled and homes demolished by Israeli soldiers. Israeli children are also afraid. Palestinian suicide bombers often attack Israeli areas.
